Reading- We took a vocabulary test today.

When I was in college, I interviewed for some type of job on campus. This is one of the questions they asked me : If you could be any part of a salad, what part would you be. I like salads but I really have to be in the mood for them. However, I don't like the beginning of the salad. It is usually dominated by the lettuce. I enjoy the end of salad when most of lettuce is gone and you're scooping up the extra stuff that found its way to the bottom of the bowl. I think of it as a little treat for putting down all that roughage. My answer was croutons. They asked me why. I still have no idea why I chose croutons but I gave them some ridiculous answer. Anyway, I got a job at Sears Hardware.
